The mToH Philosophy

1. We are, first and foremost, music fans. We support the artists we feature and their music and encourage others to do the same. Where possible, we provide iTunes or Amazon links to the albums and songs we review.
2. We do not believe the Internet is killing music- that attitude is short-sighted and stupid. We do however acknowledge that it is killing the music industry, we just don’t particularly care.
3. We are djs. We love djs and dj culture, so we only feature MIXtapes (i.e those that have been MIXED) on Mixtape Mondays.
4. If we fail to recognize the genius behind your favorite artist’s latest offering, remember ours, like yours, is just an opinion. It’s ok if they differ. Really. Trust us. It’s ok. So calm down, have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up.
5. We do not post every song under the sun- mToH is not meant to be an echo chamber. We consider our little group to be the model of the average music consumer: diverse in taste and fervent in opinion. We listen to a lot, we buy a little, and we argue about everything. On this site you will get all the music we like and most of the music we argue about.

Why the name?
If you are of a certain age, and if your music tastes lie in a certain area, you will already know that Full Force’s ‘Ain’t my type of hype’ was the song playing during Kid’N'Play’s dance off in ‘House Party’. If all that just flew over your head, may I suggest an artist more your speed.

Who are Unaffili(8)d?
Unaffili(8)d are a dj crew that among other gigs, work the monthly O-Gee old school party in Columbus, ohio. Lots more info here.

Not one red cent. mToH is a labour of love. But we take donations! All proceeds go straight to the bar.
